John Saunders
John's mystical paintings of horses capture the "Spirit of the horse". Growing up around his father put John, at an early age, around horses and animals. John's father was a cowboy and always had horses around. While a kid, growing up on the coast of California, John watched the animals coming through the coastal morning fog. This fascinated John, and years later would be his inspiration for his unique style. Horses are considered one of the most challenging animals to paint, but John is captivated by them and has learned them. John has been an artist for his entire adult life from starting art class as a kid and growing up in the artist colony of Laguna Beach, CA. John's first major art focus has been sculpting in several mediums. However painting of horses was always at his core and emerged several years ago with watercolor as his first painting. John mastered this medium and has gone on to work in acrylic and oil. This gives John a whole other dimension to paint from.
John is a published artist and his artwork is being used by many companies and manufacturers on their items. His work is currently found on Roper Western Wear. John's work has been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles.
