​Elizabeth Yazzie is a Navajo rug weaver from Pinion, AZ. She was born in 1947 in Ganado, AZ to the Towering House clan and the Tangled People clan. Elizabeth was taught to weave by her sister, Lizzie Yazzie, when she was nine years old. She loves to create distinctive rugs with the addition of unexpected elements. With the traditional Two Grey Hills design Elizabeth may add Yei-be-chei elements along with people, Guardian bears of many shapes and sizes, and ceremonial baskets.
