I am definitely drawn towards the human form in all its strength and beauty. Some of my earliest memories of childhood are of drawing people. I remember when I was in fourth grade and drew a picture of my teacher which I thought looked exactly like her. Imagine my dismay when I had to stay after school as punishment.

Although many of my works are of Native Americans I also create landscapes and still life, as well as portraits in other mediums. Being self taught has encouraged me to experiment, though I keep coming back to the human form. Maybe someday my teacher will read this and decide she really does want me to draw her portrait!

Nowadays I live in Prescott, Arizona with my husband and our two little dogs. There are so many fascinating subjects to draw – I can’t wait to get to them all!
