Growing up around his father, who was a cowboy, put John around horses and animals at an early age. While a kid growing up on the coast of California, John was fascinated by watching the animals come in through the morning fog. Years later this became the inspiration for his unique style. John has been an artist for many years. He started art classes as a kid and grew up in the artist colony of Laguna Beach, California. His first focus was sculpting. However painting horses was at his core and emerged several years ago with the use of watercolors. John mastered this medium and has gone on to paint with acrylic and oil. John is also a published artist and his artwork has been licensed for use by many companies such as Roper Western Wear. His work can be found at galleries throughout the United States and has been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers.
